As part of the existing 4-year framework agreement between Bertin Exensor and the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw), the company has been awarded a new contract for the supply of additional Flexnet UGS systems to the German Armed Forces.
This new contract obtained by Bertin Exensor comes within the scope of the modernization of the German Armed Forces defense capabilities, initiated two years ago. Following successful deliveries in 2023 the company has been tasked with supplying a larger number of additional Flexnet UGS systems to the Bundeswehr. In the current European context where tensions are rising, enabling forces to fulfill their mission of territorial defense is an important mission for Bertin Exensor.
The renewed trust of the German Armed Forces in Bertin Exensor is a sign that Flexnet, and Unattended Ground Sensors at large, are becoming a significant game-changer in the modern battlefield. With Flexnet now delivered to more than 20 nations worldwide, including most of the major defense players within Europe, Bertin Exensor is aware of its key position on the UGS market. The company understands the need to maintain its platform’s capabilities at the highest level, and to implement new technologies that contributes to combat readiness.
Marcus Rosenqvist, Deputy CEO of Bertin Exensor says: “This major follow-on contract with German Armed Forces and BAAIN is another important milestone as it recognizes the need of our equipment on the battlefield. Repeat orders like this proves that our focus and dedication in the field of UGS is appreciated and greatly needed. Bertin Exensor will continue to make a difference.”
