In December 2023, a consortium formed by Bertin Exensor AB and local partner Siltec SP. z.o.o. signed a contract with the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Poland for the supply of additional Flexnet UGS (Unattended Ground Sensor) systems to the Polish Armed forces. The new contract signed in Poland calls for deliveries between 2024-2027, and is valued at approximately 40 MEUR.
Developed and manufactured by Bertin Exensor, Flexnet is a UGS (Unattended Ground Sensor) system consisting of an array of sensors using different sensing technologies to detect, classify and identify ground movement. It is an integral part of the modern digital battlefield and is in operational use by several NATO member states.
“The Republic of Poland is an important NATO member with a strategic geopolitical location. Considering the current situation in Europe, Bertin Exensor is proud to once again have been selected to provide sensor systems that will ensure the safety and security of NATO personnel, equipment, and infrastructure.” says Patrick Pagden, Sales Manager at Bertin Exensor.
The contract is part of the ongoing modernization and digitalization of the Polish Armed Forces. It represents a good example of the close and successful relationship between Swedish and Polish defence industry.
“For Bertin Exensor this contract is an important milestone, one that further signals our position as the market leader in the field of UGS systems.” says Marcus Rosenqvist, VP Sales and Marketing at Bertin Exensor.
