Chaired by the former Home Secretary and Education Secretary Lord Blunkett, on behalf of the British government, the Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland aims at bringing together leadership figures from across the United Kingdom.
It was initially established to highlight and support the most influential leaders of the nation, by celebrating their achievements in a wide variety of fields, including politics, education, sports, industry, etc. Promoting the “people who run the country and keep the country running”, the Leaders Council is thus a strong network which recognises and celebrates the hard work and achievements of the nation’s unsung leaders, while laying the ground for the next generation. Being championed to become one of its members is therefore an honour one could only accept – just like Phil did.
Following a 27-year military career serving as an Officer in the British Army and having held several senior positions within the UK’s defence industry, Phil was appointed Managing Director of Exensor Technology Ltd, part of the Bertin Group, in 2017. He is responsible for the Group’s Defence Business in the United Kingdom, North and South America and NATO.
